A replacement for the old
We have a family reunion last week. My father, mother, my big sister, her husband and her son and daughter, my little sister, her husband, her daughter and her newborn baby boy. Including my two sons, there are five kids and a baby roaming all over my house. Those usually obedient kids looked to have more powers with numbers. They were more hectic than usual. Or is it because of the ginger syrup my big sister brought, the cookies my little sister made and the sweets that I provide? I don’t know for sure but I think I can give them a one day tolerance.
The next day I woke up and find my house so wrecked I thought a robber or a typhoon visited my house last night. I spot cookies crumbles, some damp spots it might be the syrup or the spaghetti and two broken vases. Thank god it was Sunday. I woke the whole family and after breakfast we began cleaning. I called the rugs cleaning service to come over. After he saw my area rugs condition, he said it is better for me to just buy a new one. He calculated the cleaning fee will be about half the price of new ones, he offered some that he has in his store. I think it is not a bad idea after all. My rugs are like from years ago, and it is a perfect time to get a replacement. I said thank you and I said I’ll consider it.
I knew his collection since I’ve been in to his store. And I have something else in mind. I remember that I just stumbled into a cheap rugs online store. They have some gorgeous designs that aren’t available on any local store. A colleague said that he bought rugs from them and it has high quality. This is my chance to try that store. Picked some that I like and they said it will come in a few days. In the mean time I have some old smelly rugs to throw away.
